Song Sailor Studio Policies

Reserve your place in class by paying registration. Many classes have a 10 student maximum and a 5 student minimum. Paid registration reserves your place & lets me know if a class is full or if it will run. You may pay with Paypal or a credit/debit card or send in a check with your registration form. Online registration adds $1 to the class cost for card processing but it is fast and easy to do. A printed registration form must be signed and turned in before participating in class. It may be brought to the first class if you pay registration online or faxed to 413-664-6109. Be sure to fill in the participant's age. This helps in class planning. An email will be sent to you upon receipt of your online registration payment to the email address you listed there or upon receipt of your mailed in registration payment to the email listed on that form.

Cancellations: There are no lessons when the North Adams Public School District is closed for inclemate weather or has early release for the same reason. Regular school holidays and no-school days may have lessons if planned in advance. Group classes will have a cancelled class day made up at the end of the session as an additional class.

Group Class Refund Policy: It is expected that students will attend all or most group classes in a session. Classes within a session build upon each other. Attending a class means being there on time with a pencil and any script, sheet music or materials that have been distributed. The teacher reserves the right to ask a student to withdraw from a session if it does not seem to be a good fit. Registration refunds are given prorated within the first two classes. After the second class, refunds are not given.

Ensemble Participation & Refunds Policy: Being in an ensemble is like being a member of a team sport, therefore no more than two absences from rehearsals are allowed in order to be eligible to participate in a performance. Attending a rehearsal means being there for the whole time, on time with a pencil and any script, sheet music or materials that have been distributed. The teacher reserves the right to ask a student to withdraw from a session if it does not seem to be a good fit. Ensemble tuition refunds are given prorated within the first two rehearsals.
