Below are music links and lyrics to practice with at home.  It is especially helpful (and fun) for pre-readers to do some singing at home with an adult to help them with the lyrics.  The underlined titles are the sing-a-long links.  They should give you the idea of how the song goes so that you can sing at home a bit.  Please let me know if you have trouble with the links.

Some POTENTIAL New Music

"Clap Happy Psalm" based on Psalm 96, American Folk Melody arranged by Joe Ridenour
1. Sing to the Lord a brand new song.  Sing Allelu.  Sing to the Lord now all the Earth.  Sing Allelu.
Sing to the Lord and celebrate. Sing Allelu.  Sing to the Lord from day to day. Sing Allelu
Alleluia, sing allelu.  Alleluia, sing allelu.  Alleluia, sing allelu.  Alleluia, sing allelu.
3. Worship the Lord in holiness.  Sing allelu.  Worship the Lord whole families.  Sing allelu.
Worship the Lord with all your strength.  Sing allelu.  Worship the Lord and celebrate.  Sing allelu.
Alleluia, sing allelu.  Alleluia, sing allelu.  Alleluia, sing allelu.  Alleluia, sing allelu.

"Somebody's Knockin'" - recording gives you the idea of the song but needs to be re-done
1. Somebody's knockin' at your door. Somebody's knockin' at your door! Oh, sinner, why don't you answer? Somebody's knockin' at your door.
2. Somebody's prayin' for your soul. Somebody's prayin' for your soul! Oh, sinner, why don't you answer? Somebody's prayin' for your soul.
3. (stomp, stomp, clap, clap) Someone is a knockin'. (stomp, stomp, clap, clap) Someone is a knockin'. (stomp, stomp, clap, clap) Someone is a knockin' at your door!
1. Somebody's knockin' at your door. Somebody's knockin' at your door! Oh, sinner, why don't you answer? Somebody's knockin' at your door.
Somebody's knockin" (stomp, stomp, clap, clap) at your door!

"Jesus Loves Me"
1. Jesus loves me. This I know, for the Bible tells me so.  Little ones to him belong.  They are weak but he is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me.  Yes, Jesus loves me.  Yes, Jesus loves me.  The Bible tells me so.
2. Jesus loves me.  This I know, as he loved so long ago, taking children on his knee, saying "Let them come to me."
Yes, Jesus loves me.  Yes, Jesus loves me.  Yes, Jesus loves me.  The Bible tells me so.
3. Jesus loves me still today, walking with me on my way, wanting as a friend to give light and love to all who live.
Yes, Jesus loves me.  Yes, Jesus loves me.  Yes, Jesus loves me.  The Bible tells me so.

"I've Got Peace Like a River"

"Down in my Heart"

"Leaning on the Everlasting Arms"
1. What a fellowship.  What a joy divine.  Leaning on the everlasting arms.  What a blessedness.   What a peace is mine.  Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms.  Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.
3. What have I to dread, what have I to fear, leaning on the everlasting arms.  I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms.  Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.

"It is Well with My Soul"

"Garden Song"
Inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow.  All it takes is a rake and a hoe and a piece of fertile ground.
Inch by inch, row by row. someone bless these seeds I sow.  Someone warm them from below 'till the rain rain comes tumbling down.
    (We may skip verse 1)
1. Pulling weeds and pickin' stones, man is made of dreams and bones.  Feel the need to grow my own 'cause the time is close at hand.
Grain for grain, sun and rain, find my way in nature's chain, to my body and my brain, to the music from the land.

Inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow.  All it takes is a rake and a hoe and a piece of fertile ground.
Inch by inch, row by row. someone bless these seeds I sow.  Someone warm them from below 'till the rain rain comes tumbling down.

2. Plant your rows straight and long, temper them with prayer and song.  Mother Earth will make you strong if you give her love and care.
Old crow watching hungrily from his perch on yonder tree.  In my garden I'm as free as that feathered thief up there.

Inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow.  All it takes is a rake and a hoe and a piece of fertile ground.
Inch by inch, row by row. someone bless these seeds I sow.  Someone warm them from below 'till the rain rain comes tumbling down.
